Hyena narrowly escapes jaws of angry hippo after thinking it was dead

A hyena who mistook a sleeping hippo for a carcass had the last laugh when it managed to dodge the enraged beast's jaws, a dramatic video shows.

The carnivore made a narrow escape after it initially mistook the sleeping giant for a carcass it could feast on.
