I was shot nine times and left for dead in the desert

I’m told I shouldn’t be alive.

While working as a state ranger on patrol in Southeast , I was ambushed, shot nine times with 40 caliber hollow point rounds, and left for dead out in the desert.

I lost massive amounts of blood, and then some, that night as I slipped in and out of consciousness.
