Sarah Palin is back in the spotlight after advancing to the November general election for 's lone seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, but she is no stranger to making headlines. The former Alaska governor, 58, is running against fellow Nick Begich III — the grandson of a former Democratic representative who held the seat — and Mary Peltola, a former lawmaker. The three candidates are also vying to finish the two-year term of late Representative Don Young, who held the seat for 49 years before his death in March at the age of 88. The winner will be announced on August 31 and serve until the end of the year.
