The chairman of Israel’s national Holocaust museum invited Whoopi Goldberg to visit, saying the now-suspended co-host of ABC’s “The View” has a “fundamental misunderstanding of the nature of the Holocaust and anti-Semitism.”Goldberg landed in hot water this week after saying that the genocide of European Jews by the Nazis “isn’t about race.” Dani Dayan, the chairman of Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, said it was unfortunate that Goldberg’s comments came just days after the world marked International Holocaust Remembrance Day.“While her apology and clarification are important, I extend a personal invitation to Ms. Goldberg and other influencers to learn more about the causes, events and aftermath of the Holocaust here at Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center in Jerusalem,” Dayan said.
