's James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) may have captured two 'halos' of dark matter in a region where a 'knot' of galaxies are forming around an extremely luminous active galactic nucleus that assembled 11.5 billion years ago.The telescope snapped an image of the three tightly packed galaxies orbiting each other at great speeds, which is only possible if a great deal of mass is present. And astronomers believe the mass is 'two massive halos of dark matter merging together.'
