Kelly Ripa and husband Mark Consuelos are ensuring their daughter, Lola, receives the full college experience. For the NYU freshman, that means everything from dorm room living, house parties, shared bathrooms and even meal plans. But there were some parts of university life that the 18-year-old has struggled to get on board with: the food. In a recent episode of "Live with Kelly and Ryan," Ripa revealed that Lola was actually the one to teach her about the meal delivery app Postmates after noticing her daughter rack up charges on her debit.
“I didn’t know our daughter had Postmates,” she explained. “She’s at college and we signed her up for a meal plan, cause we’re not monsters.”
“But you know, she doesn’t like the meals at school so she was ordering Postmates,” Ripa continued. “Here’s what would happen. She would order the $7 salad but it would cost $25 dollars to have it delivered three blocks in New York City.”
Lola's eating spree didn't last long, according to her mother.
“Oh, we shut down that debit card account she had,” Ripa revealed.
