A Kentucky mayoral hopeful is blasting the release of a young activist charged with trying to kill him, claiming the criminal justice system in America is “clearly broken.”Craig Greenberg, a Democrat vying to become Louisville’s next mayor, issued a stern statement Thursday after the $100,000 bond of Quintez Brown, 21, was posted by a bail fund supported by the local Black Lives Matter chapter.“It is nearly impossible to believe that someone can attempt murder on Monday and walk out of jail on Wednesday,” Greenberg said. “If someone is struggling with a mental illness and is in custody, they should be evaluated and treated in custody. We must work together to fix this system.”
