The House looks poised to vote against making Leader its speaker in a fourth round of ballots Wednesday, with eight Republicans voting against the Republican. All Democrats voted for Leader Hakeem Jeffries while anti-McCarthy Republicans seem united behind Florida Rep. Byron Donalds. So far thirteen Republicans have voted for him. One day earlier they had united behind Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, who is supportive of McCarthy, but now his name seems to be taken out of the running.
