Kyrie Irving 'tells the Brooklyn Nets he wants to be traded'

Kyrie Irving has told the he wants to be traded ahead of next week's deadline, according to a report.

The 30-year-old has informed the franchise that he wishes to be traded before next Thursday's deadline or he will leave in free agency in July, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.

The two sides have reportedly been unable to come to an agreement on a new contract, which Irving had been seeking.
