Mercedes driver has apologised after a collision with Fernando Alonso forced him to retire from the Belgian Grand Prix. The seven-time world champion made contact with on turn 14 that caused the back half of his car to jump into the air before being forced off the road.Alonso felt his former teammate had cut across him, and said into the radio: 'What an idiot! Closing the door from the outside!
