Louisiana Governor posts photo at steakhouse while city mourns attack

Louisiana governor Jeff Landry is being severely criticized in the wake of the New Orleans terror attack, after he posted a cheery photo of himself at a steakhouse in the city hours after 15 were killed.

Shamsud-Din Jabbar, 42, a US citizen born and raised in drove an electric vehicle from Houston to to carry out the deadly attack which killed 15 and left at least 35 injured.

Landry, a Republican who has led the state as its governor since January 2024, posted a photo of himself giving a thumbs-up with several people outside the Bon Tob Prime Rib steakhouse, which is just 10 minutes away from the site of the 3am terror attack on Bourbon Street, in New Orleans' French Quarter.
