The fan who suffered a 21-foot fall from the outfield wall that left him in critical condition is awake, alert and able to speak, his family has announced.A statement on a Just Giving page set up to support Kavan Markwood, the fan, on Saturday said: 'We are so relieved and grateful to share some encouraging news about Kavan.'As of this morning, Kavan is awake, alert, and able to speak. After everything he’s been through since the accident on Wednesday night, this progress feels nothing short of miraculous.
