A man who lived frugally in a bungalow had secretly built up a $11miilion estate, which will be distributed to 119 relatives in the largest unpaid property claim in US history. Joseph Stancak, 87, of Gage Park, died of natural causes just before in 2016. With no will left behind, his estate remained untouched until investments from mutual funds began paying out in 2019. The search for his heirs then ramped up, but after estate lawyers learned that Stancak had no children, nor did any of his six dead siblings, they said they needed to track down cousins and distant family members.
