Mayor Lori Lightfoot has been accused in a lawsuit of hurling obscenities at a city lawyer who tried to defy her wishes by allowing Italian-Americans to display a removed statue of Christopher Columbus at a parade.Former Chicago Park District deputy general counsel George Smyrniotis filed the lawsuit on Tuesday against the city and Lightfoot, alleging she defamed him with her remarks in a meeting last year.'You make some kind of secret agreement with Italians,' said Lightfoot, according to the complaint, which was first reported by the .
