Miami is now the least affordable place to live in the US, new real estate data shows, with average rents now rivaling those in New York and San Francisco after soaring to nearly $3,000 a month this year.The increase, rental experts say, stems from the mass migration of Big Apple and Silicon Valley tech workers to during the pandemic, which has spurred landlords in the Sunshine State to hike rents.But as transplants continue to take advantage of the recent remote work boom and takeover South Florida - which currently boasts the fastest growing real estate market in the county - wages have yet to catch up, statistics reveal.
