MLB club fires its manager after terrible start to the season

After a start to the season that sees his team already ten games back from the division lead and ten games off a Wild Card spot, the have fired manager Derek Shelton.

Shelton had been in charge of the Buccos since 2020, having failed to reach the postseason in all four full seasons of his tenure.

With Pittsburgh, he compiled a record of 306-440 - a winning percentage of just .410.
