Swathes of the United States are bracing themselves for several days of extreme weather, with the tornado-battered South expecting heavy thunderstorms and possibly more twisters, and the northeast told to wrap up against snow and hail.More than 23 million people are at risk for some type of severe weather on Tuesday, with the figure growing to more than 55 million on Wednesday, the Storm Prediction Center said.On Thursday, 20 million people could see severe weather.
