Multiple people feared dead as SUV ploughs into crowd in New Orleans

Multiple people are feared dead after an SUV allegedly plowed into crowds celebrating New Year on a popular party street in New Orleans, according to reports.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Bourbon Street, famous for its many bars and clubs, and Iberville around 3.15am local time, reported.

New Orleans police has not specified how many fatalities there are. Injuries are also unknown at this time.
