A gun-sniffing dog hired at Neiman Marcus in central alerted the store to the presence of a man carrying a gun in the story - who was then caught allegedly stuffing his jacket with merchandise, police said. Derrick Latham, 23, was arrested on Chicago's Magnificant Mile on Monday when the canine working at the store alerted security that there was a man carrying a gun in the store. Guards then followed the Latham and watched as he grabbed a belt and two belt buckles before trying to leave, reported. Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Loukas Kalliantasis said the security officers allegedly found $995 worth of stolen merchandise on Latham, as well as a 9 mm handgun and 16 counterfeit $100 bills.
