's epic release of the James Webb Telescope (JWST) images captivated the world last week, but another picture surfaced Monday that was exclusively shared on - and some say resembles the Doctor Who vortex., an astronomer at the Cosmic Dawn Center in the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen, shared a stunning photo of the spiraling arms of the 'phantom galaxy,' formally known as NGC 628 or Messier 74.Webb took the image of NGC 628 on July 17 and sent the data back to Earth where it was stored in the Barbara Mikulski Archive for Space Telescopes, (MAST), which is open to the public.
