After just a single season in the NFL, quarterback Jordan Travis has told the team that he intends to retire.

Travis announced the decision on his social media accounts on Wednesday, posting a handwritten letter detailing why he's decided to end his pro football career.

In an emotional post, Travis revealed that he had been advised to retire by his medical team after his rehab from a devastating leg injury in his final year of college wouldn't heal in a way that could keep him on the football field.
