Halving deaths by 2047 will be 'impossible' based on current trends, Government health chiefs have said.Researchers from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) said the current rate of decline of cancer deaths is 2.3 percent per year.But it would need to be at 2.7 percent to achieve President 's Cancer Moonshot goal of reducing the rate by 50 percent in 25 years.
