NYC commuter, 20, is dragged to his death by closing doors

A 20-year-old commuter has been killed after he was trapped and dragged along the tracks by the closing doors of a subway car at an Upper West Side Manhattan station on Monday.

The southbound 1 train at the 59th Street-Columbus Circle station struck the passenger at around 5pm after trapping him, according to law-enforcement sources.

Investigators speaking to the believe either a bag or piece of clothing got caught in the doors.
