Two New York hospitals have agreed to pay more than $260 million to 147 former patients who have accused a former gynaecologist of sexual abuse and misconduct.Columbia University Irving Medical Centre and New York-Presbyterian announced the agreement on Friday. Last year, the two hospitals reached a settlement to establish a $111 million compensation fund with 79 of Hadden’s former patients.The doctor, Robert Hadden, surrendered his medical licence after being convicted in 2016 on sex-related charges in state court but was not sentenced to prison.
