NYC Mayor Adams vows to lift mask mandate for under-fives on April 4

New York CityMayor Eric Adams has bowed to parent pressure by vowing to lift the mask mandate for children under age five on April 4, he announced Tuesday, just three days after NYC's new health commissioner said toddlers would wear mask indefinitely.

'The safest place for children is in school,' he said 'We want to see our babies' faces.'

Adams made the announcement Tuesday alongside New York City's new health commissioner Dr. Ashwin Vasan.
