Mayor Eric Adams urged the public to do their part in snuffing out lazy cops on the subway beat during his State of the City speech on Tuesday.During the question and answer portion of the speech, Adams, a former transit police officer and NYPD captain, was asked about officers being on their phones on the platforms of stations instead of being on trains. Adams said that both the public and good police officers are frustrated by those in uniform who spend their time scrolling instead of patrolling.
