NYPD officers reportedly trying to beat a red light hit and killed a panhandler on Thursday night then dragged his body along a Brooklyn street before coming to a stop. The van was traveling westbound on the Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, at 8.06pm when the two officers inside struck the man. Witnesses say the 63-year-old man was a panhandler who often asked for money from drivers in the middle of the road while waiting for lights to change.
