The oldest member of a chimpanzee tribe famed for its remarkable use of tools has died in solitude age 71.Fana, a female chimp born in 1951, died in the forest near the village of Bossou in the southeast of Guinea, where scientists have trekked for decades to study the remarkable animal community.Her death brings down the number of Bossou chimpanzees to just six or seven, half of which are females and two can no longer reproduce.
