There are over 10,000 people in currently working in the fast food industry, a new economic study says. The study, conducted by found that in Los Angeles County alone, there are 3,595 unhoused working for fast food restaurants. The co-author of the study and president of Economic Roundtable Daniel Flaming said that although many unhoused working in an industry that highly profitable, low wages and a lack of full-time positions mean that many employees cannot work their way out of poverty.
