Eight busloads of migrants have arrived in Washington DC from Texas over the past seven days, but the transports are hardly bursting at the seams. Republican Gov. Greg Abbott’s reelection campaign confirmed to The Post on Wednesday that 152 immigrants have been relocated out of the Lone Star State. That works out to an average of 19 migrants per bus on vehicles that can transport up to 40. The campaign did not release the exact number of immigrants on each bus, but Abbott previously said there were 24 passengers on the first bus from Texas that arrived in DC on April 13, while the second bus carried 14. A third bus, which arrived April 15, reportedly had around 30 migrants on board, while the fourth bus arriving the following day carried fewer than 10.
