Echoing Marilyn Monroe's iconic little white dress moment, a short-eared owl has been captured with its feathers ruffled in a strikingly familiar fashion.

But the blustery Durham Moors where the owl was snapped are a far cry from the hot summer streets of where Miss Monroe created the breezy spectacle in The Seven Year Itch.
