The parents of a five-year-old boy are suing their son's school and teachers after the youngster tragically collapsed and lay dying from a rare heart condition that carries a significant risk of sudden death while out on the playground with friends, yet staff failed to notice.School friends of Romeo Pierre Louis attempted to alert their teachers at Charter Oak International Academy in West Hartford, , after the little boy fell to the ground while playing freeze tag. He appeared motionless, but staff thought the pupil was 'play acting.' It meant there was a critical nine minute delay between little Romeo collapsing and when staff finally went over to check on him. Only then was medical assistance summoned with 911 being called and an ambulance arriving more than half an hour later.
