Philadelphia is ending its indoor mask mandate just four days after implementing it amid a sharp increase in Covid infections, city health officials said Thursday night.The city's Board of Health voted Thursday to abruptly reverse course and rescind the mandate, according to the Philadelphia health department, which gave a statement that cited 'decreasing hospitalizations and a levelling of case counts.'The mandate went into effect on Monday. Philadelphia had ended its earlier indoor mask mandate on March 2. The health department did not release data to back up its reversal on masking, saying more information would be provided on Friday.
