Police fail domestic violence victim in bodycam video

Shocking police body camera footage shows how Toronto cops mishandled a victim's case, which prosecutors say ultimately resulted in her murder.

Daniella Mallia, 23, called police on August 15, 2022 to her apartment complex to request a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, Dylon Dowman, with whom she had been in an on-and-off relationship for five years,

She then showed Constables Sang Youb Lee and Anson Alfonso text messages she said Dowman had sent her, including, 'You still breathing cause I say so' and 'Ain't no coming back from death. You're done.'
