Politician shot and killed while dining at Mexican restaurant

A politician was shot and killed while dining at a seafood restaurant in a crime-riddled neighborhood in .

Secretary General of the Teocaltiche City Council Jose Luis Pereira was shot dead inside the restaurant in Jalisco state about 4.57pm on Monday.

The prosecutor's office said Pereira was already dead by the time medical personnel arrived.
