Portland woman finds stranger asleep in son's bedroom, then released

A , woman found a homeless woman on top of her son's bed lying amongst the laundry, but no sooner had she been arrested, her charges were dropped within 24 hours and she was free to walk the streets of the famously liberal town once again.

Kelsey Smith, from Northeast Portland, first knew something was amiss when she heard her dogs barking in a bedroom as so she went to investigate.

Initially, she thought her husband was playing a prank on her but within moments quickly realized someone had broken into her home to hide out.
