Princess Royal receives a warm welcome in Aachen

reminisced about watching her daughter Zara become world champion as she opened an equestrian tournament in last night.

The Princess Royal, 72, had travelled to Aachen for the starting ceremony of the CHIO Equestrian Festival, which she impressively opened in fluent German.

It was a warm welcome for Anne, a keen equestrian herself, who has had a packed month visiting the Royal Highland Show in and Royal Ascot.
