Prosecutors are asking that former chief strategist Steve Bannon spend six months behind bars for refusing to testify before the House committee.Bannon faces sentencing Friday, following his trial for contempt of Congress, after he failed to appear before the panel probing the riot and the events of Jan. 6th.The government filed a 24-page sentencing Monday in which it accused Bannon of 'flouting' the law and holding on to essential documents. The memo notes that the request for six months in prison is at the 'top end' of sentencing guidelines for the offense.
