Majority Whip Tom Emmer informed members in a closed-door meeting there could be a vote on opening the inquiry over the next few weeks due because he said the Biden administration is stonewalling on documents requests, according to a source in the room. At the start of this month Speaker Mike Johnson told reporters the House was nearing a decision on whether or not to vote on articles of impeachment - the final step in the process - not an inquiry.
