Brandon Dalaly had a tiny contactless chip implanted under the skin of his right hand so that he can unlock his vehicle without relying on his smartphone — whose Bluetooth capability isn't always reliable, he says. Dalaly posted a video to showing himself getting a tiny VivoKey Apex implanted. The chip uses the same technology, known as near-field communication protocol, that makes Apple Pay and keyless entry at hotels work.
