Richard Engel and his wife reflect on their late son Henry's legacy

NBC News chief foreign correspondent Richard Engel and his wife, Mary Forrest Engel, have and how they are continuing their fight to find a cure for Rett Syndrome eight months after his death.

The couple's six-year-old son passed away last August after a years-long battle with the rare and incurable genetic neurological disorder, which leads to severe cognitive deficits and physical impairment.

Engel and Forrest Engel appeared on the Today show Thursday after visiting the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute at Children’s Hospital in Houston, where a balcony was dedicated in Henry's name.
