Late Supreme Court Justice 's personal book collection sold at auction this month for a whopping $2.35 million. The collection was sold by auction house Bonham's. Catherine Williamson, a specialist of fine books and manuscripts at Bonhams, said the books attracted bids 'beyond our wildest dreams' and all of the 166 books sold at the auction, distinguishing it as what is known as a 'white glove sale,' according to Williamson said she expected the sale to draw in $300,000-$500,000, and was astounded to see the $2.35 million total.
