A Sacramento County sheriff has hit out at state laws, alleging they 'treat criminals like victims' in the wake of the mass shooting on Sunday April 3 which claimed the lives of six people.Sheriff Scott Jones made the statements last night after it emerged one of the suspects in the shooting, 27-year-old Smiley Martin, was released from prison in February after serving less than half of a 10-year sentence. Jones argued in last night's interview with that incidences like Sacramento's mass shooting will continue as long as California's lax laws on criminality remain.
