Troy Kotsur made history at the 28th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday.The 53-year-old actor was the first ever deaf actor to win an individual honor at the as he took home the first award in the Male Actor in a Supporting Role category for his work in CODA.In the film the talented actor played Frank Rossi, the father of a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) named Ruby (played by Emilia Jones) who is the only hearing person in her deaf family. When the family's fishing business is threatened, Ruby finds herself torn between pursuing her love of music by wanting to go to Berklee College of Music and her fear of abandoning her parents.
