San Francisco's new no-nonsense DA Brooke Jenkins wants to give police access to private surveillance cameras in homes and businesses in an effort to crackdown on open-air drug markets and theft. In a drastic shift from her predecessor Chesa Boudin, Jenkins - who took office on Friday - wants to expand the current access that police forces have and allow them to tap into the cameras to monitor the crimes in real-time. It is part of her widespread crack down on in the city, which she says has succumb to lawlessness in the name of criminal justice reform.
