A California school that witnessed a mass-shooting in 2019 has banned its football team from displaying a pro-police flag at games after complaints the emblem is racist. In September, William S. Hart Union High School District Superintendent Mike Kuhlman decreed that the thin blue line flag representing support of police could no longer be carried on to the field by Saugus High School's Centurions football team in County. Saugus High School's football team ran out without their flag for the first time on Friday - although many families outraged by the ban waved it from the stands.
