Scientists have pinpointed a set of genes in successful racehorses, which may help breed more powerful entries for horse racing competitions. Researchers compared the genomes of Thoroughbred, Arabian and Mongolian racehorses with horses bred for other sports and leisure.The experts identified seven genes in the racing breeds that all play a significant role in muscle, metabolism and neurobiology.
