The intra-Democratic feuding in New York over repercussions from a new legislative map took another angry turn Wednesday, as a state lawmaker accused Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney of thinly-veiled racism for saying he will run against a black lawmaker squeezed by redistricting.Maloney, who chairs the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, shocked colleagues this week when he jumped to announce he would run against Rep. Mondaire Jones, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, in a newly created 17th Congressional District.Jones fumed publicly that Maloney, who is tasked with getting incumbents reelected, had not provided a heads up as a courtesy.
