Secret Service agents were furious at officials for toning down injuries caused by bites from Major, the First Dog, to the point where they even tried to get President to pay for a coat that was ripped into pieces, according to newly released documents. Secret Service agents also tried to keep details from the attack out of the spotlight by not documenting them, the report said. The agency allegedly denied an agent's 'excessively detailed' account of what had happened in a bid to avoid tension between agents and the First Family — after Major bit agents on a daily basis for eight days straight.Official documents from the White House, published in response to a Freedom of Information Act by Judicial Watch, reveal that the attacks took place on earlier and later occasions than previously communicated to the public.
