The Secret Service hit back online about claims the former President Trump's team had , amid new pressure for the agency to explain how Saturday's assassination attempt was able to occur.'There's an untrue assertion that a member of the former President's team requested additional security resources & that those were rebuffed,' wrote Secret Service spokesman Andrew Guglielmi on X, responding to Trump supporters and online claims.'This is absolutely false. In fact, we added protective resources & technology & capabilities as part of the increased campaign travel tempo.'
